A Minimalist Business Starts with Saying No
As business owners we are drawn to everything new and exciting, it is both a gift and curse.
We see the possibilities in every new opportunity and idea. This allows us to be creative, innovative and inspired.
The flip side is we easily get overbooked, overwhelmed and overscheduled, by taking on new many ideas at one time.
As our eCommerce business grows and matures it continues to collect new products, systems, tools, ideas and complexity.
It becomes our job as the CEO solopreneur to get really skilled at saying NO to new distractions and ideas. We need to know the difference between a strategic experiment that fits within our vision for the season and the business, and a new idea that needs to get parked for later or is a flat out No, because it doesnβt align with our WHY, the needs of the business, the business owner or the needs of the customer.
Letβs start right now, what is on your mind that you need to say NO to today?
This could be a project that keeps falling to the bottom of your list, new technology, social media content creation or something else. Letβs commit to saying NO more often and stop trying to do all the things.
Simplifying and clarifying will bring us closer the results the want.
