Stop Following Your Competitors

I believe we can all be trendsetters and visionaries, but that doesn't happen when we spend all our time looking at what everyone else is doing and worrying about it.

If you are spending valuable time each day watching what your direct competitors are doing then you have a problem.

It needs to stop today. Unsubscribe, unfollow and stop putting them into your line of sight and giving them your valuable time and attention.

Letting yourself get stressed out because they have more posts, followers, engagement, launches, branding, sales, staff or other things that you don't have (or think you don't have) is not helping you move your business forward and it could actually be sliding your business backwards.

There is room for all of us in this world of business and e-commerce, I truly believe that.

Stay focused on your unique gifts and talents and stop worrying about what others are doing.

Work on the things that make you happy, help you connect with YOUR audience and customers. Find your own voice and set your own trends!

This is the way to success.

It is also vital for your mental health, feeding the beast of jealously, scarcity and imposter syndrome is not a sustainable or healthy way to live.

The solution is easy but takes conscious choices and actions on your part.

The joy I have from this business, is in the fact that I don't see myself as having any competitors!

I follow accounts and other business people that I think have a unique point of view, inspire new ideas and ways of thinking and that I hope will one day be collaboration partners for me.

They are not my competition, if I ever feel that way or no longer resonate with their message- I simply unsubscribe.

I decide to no longer be in their audience.

Now I have a challenge for you!

The next time you feel insecure from an account or email or brand where you are in their audience, take a sec and decide if this is healthy for you, then take action and remove yourself from that audience.
