Stuck with Slow Sellers? Try this…

We all have slow sellers in our shops. You've tried a few things but just aren't sure what to do with them anymore. When you bought them you were so excited…these were going to be a big hit and then they just never were. What went wrong? They are now sitting on forever sale and creating stress and clutter.

You know they are great products, but WHY won't anyone buy them?

They need a Confidence Boost! What, products need a confidence boost, that sounds wierd…in actuality, the buyer and the seller (you) need the confidence boost but we do it through the product.

If you are a Bridgerton (Netflix) TV fan you will get it when I give you this analogy. 🌼✒️📒

We’ve got the fabulous character of Penelope, she is smart, talented, funny, but also a self-described wallflower. She is beautiful inside and out but just doesn’t shine as she should to her love interest Colin.

Your product is currently a Penelope, it is a great product (this should be a given) with great qualities to bring to the right person. But as a Wallflower your product just isn’t grabbing anyone’s attention, it isn’t inspiring, it lacks confidence that it will solve your buyer’s needs and wants.

In Season 3, the showrunners make POLIN (Penelope and Colin) love story center stage. This starts with both characters getting Glow Ups (the internet term for a make-over). The are still the same people, but they have a newfound confidence and glow. This makes them attractive and magnetic to nearly everyone around them.

I want you to give your products a GLOW-UP, so both you and your ideal buyer have a newfound confidence and are ready to buy!

But, how do you do this?

Visual Make-Over

You start with the visual language of your product listings because buying online means buying first with our eyes.

Infuse Personality

Rewrite your product descriptions to tell a story and align with your brand voice. Answer all their questions, and make it easy for them to say YES!

Raise the Price

I get the most push-back on this one, but often taking a product out of sale and moving it back to full price or adding a few dollars helps your buyers feel confident. We have been trained to think that products on sale have something wrong with them or have less inherent value. An important part of feeling confident is expressing your worth. So raise the price!

Does it work?

It’s worked for my store time and time again and I can say it really works for others too.

I recently had this conversation with a client. She was so annoyed and focused on trying to sell her low-cost sale products. It really wasn't a good use of her time but since she was stuck on it and it was keeping her from doing high-value work I knew it needed to be addressed.
I had her make the 3 changes listed in the slides.
I call it a product confidence boost and guess what....it worked!
On our next call she was so excited to tell me that those slow sellers sold out!
It really works you just need to do the work and trust the process.
