Why I’m Not for Beginners (My 2025 Pivot)

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about where I want my business to go in 2025 and beyond.

The biggest shift I am making is committing to working with clients who are not beginners, because I am NOT for beginners.

I’ve realized is that the work I really love doing, what lights me up and get’s me excited is working with established eCommerce business owners, who understand they can’t be good at everything and are ready for expert guidance.

I get the same thrill and joy at seeing you get results as I would in my store. I attribute it to my Enneagram 2/3 profile. Seeing someone else succeed is what makes me happiest.

I want to solve those hard, interesting problems that are unique to your specific business story and circumstances.

There are also so many great resources for beginners, but I’m realizing there are few affordable options for that next stage up of solopreneuer, product-based business.

Side Note for Beginners to eCommerce

If you are a beginner, just getting started launching your first store, then I highly recommend you join the eCommerce Roadmap, Inner Circle community led by my mentor Susan Bradley. You can get access to everything you need, plus access to me in that group. (I have multiple podcast episodes with Susan, linked here)

If you need quick help on your DIY journey - my shop of digital downloads are an excellent resources. Look for my Shopify Launch Checklist, Event Checklist and Canva Line Sheet template.

If you identify as an established product-based business read on -

As I’ve been supporting the non-beginner, established product-based store owners, I see how I can help them resolve a pile of unanswered questions easily and bring in real results for their business.

We both already know you have amazing products, know your customers, seasonality, you have systems and processes in place.

Where you struggle is seeing the big picture of how this business can grow beyond where it is now, with next level marketing and advertising that really works for selling products.

These are just some of the questions going through your head

  • Social media is a slog. Does it work? You don’t know but you are always hearing how important it is.

  • The Shopify website works but you have a nagging feeling something might be wrong somewhere. What are all those apps I pay for each month actually doing?

  • Is that conversion rate good or bad? Do I have a lot or a little traffic? What about my AOV? What the heck is normal for my business anyway?

  • Why am I so good at in-person sales with markets, pop-ups, at my B&M but online isn’t growing and feels like such a mystery?

  • I keep hearing about e-mail marketing, but it doesn’t seem to do much for me. What I am missing here?

  • Do I need Meta ads, Google Ads? I hear paid ads are necessary but I feel like I’m just constantly throwing money away. That agency I hired is costing a fortune and promising ROI that I am not sure will ever come.

  • Don’t forget SEO! I talk about it like I know what I’m saying but is SEO me just writing random blog posts with ChaTGPT?

This Is Where I Come In

There are only so many hours in the day. We can only wear so many hats for so long. At a certain point the business needs new expertise to grow and scale.

This is where I come in.

I can answer all those questions above - from is it my website to what the heck is SEO and what do all those metrics actually mean?

Why?

Because I am not for beginners.

I have years of corporate experience in big budget advertising and media. I also run my own eCommerce site, am a Shopify and Klaviyo expert and have coached hundreds' of store owners on their analytics, marketing strategy and mindset. I’ve seen every niche from baby to pets, fashion, food, home decor, jewelry, sub-boxes, beauty, art, tech…

I don’t say this to be bragging, these are simply facts.

How does it work? What is my magic?

First I make sure we are a fit personality wise and have aligned values. I prefer to work with women, who have a deep WHY.

Who are passionate about bringing something new, different and important into the world with their brand. You care about your customers, you aren’t just in it for quick money…but if you aren’t a beginner like me, you already know quick money doesn’t exist.

I’m so ready for that lie to go away.

Once we get along and are ready to work together, I go deep on your business. This is the audit/ review stage of my CRO package.

I look at the data, I ask a lot of questions, I look at your social media, I subscribe to your newsletter, I read your reviews. I take an outsiders holistic view of your brand.

Then I explain to you what I found and see in your business.

This is something I think a lot of experts don’t do or are afraid to do.

I want you to have a clear understanding of your numbers, why certain metrics matter, why I am going to make specific recommendations .

The final stage is to start implementing those changes.

This is where every business has a bit of a different path. I tailor the implementation stage to what will bring the best results (here is a recent case study of what is possible!)

These changes take time, are done in stages. I look for a mix of quick wins and long-term foundational changes.

This is what sets you up for long-term success.

Once those foundations are in place, I stay on with a retainer packages. I keep an eye on those analytics for you, advise on new strategies, implement what I see working on other stores, and keep it all moving forward.

I’m also a sounding-board and strategic partner that knows your business well and can ask good questions, help you make hard decisions and support that rollercoaster of feelings that come with being an online store owner.

Are you an established product-based business ready for a strategic review of your business so you can scale to the next level?

I’d love to hear from you and see if I’m the right expert for your marketing needs.
